OOTD: Tenth Street…

Hat: Tenth Street Hats | Jacket: H&M [ 1/2 ] | Sweater: Zara | Jeans: Missguided | Booties: Aldo

Okay, it’s true – fisherman caps are my new obsession. I’ve always been known as “The Hat Girl”. Since I was a baby I’ve been wearing hats of all sorts, so when I saw this chic cap from Tenth Street Hats I had to have it. The same goes with this cozy teddy bear jacket I scored for 50% off at H&M (who needs a purse when your pockets are this big!?). All about dem steals!

I decided this winter that every winter I would invest in a new coat. A nice jacket is a staple in the winter, but is also your entire look when out and about. It covers all the glorious layering and precision of a perfectly organized outfit. This year I choose to go with something grey, as it matches everything and I currently have way too much black in my winter wear. It automatically makes my winter street style look chic. This oversized HM scarf can be difficult at times. It’s SO BIG that it overtakes everything. It isn’t the blanket type, which makes it un-foldable, but I often use it as a blanket when it’s very cold, and with the right technique it can be wrapped! I’ve been all about layering lately – pulling bits and pieces of old clothing and mixing them in with the new, layering crop tops over blouses. Experimentation is endless!

Cozy Days…

Sweater: Urban Outfitters

Tunic: H&M

Leggings: Garage

Boots: Aldo

Sunnies: Forever 21

I know for me, as a nanny, getting up and doing my hair, makeup and the full nine yards isn’t necessary and takes away sleep time for those 530 am wake ups, but I always try to make sure that even when I’m cozy and lounging about for the day, I’m doing it in style! And there’s no better way to do that than some leggings and an oversized knit sweater!

Winter street style is one of my favorites (even though I absolutely hate the cold!) I put together this look in hopes to give you some simple, yet totally chic street style inspiration. The great part is, you can easily recreate this outfit by clicking on the small pics above, or by finding other simple alternatives!

This comfy and casual outfit is a must for me! It’s hard to constantly shop and add new items to my wardrobe, so I constantly try to make the best of what I have and create new looks with the some of the same pieces. The more you experiment with the clothes you have the more different looks you can have! Even try and incorporate some old clothes that you don’t really wear anymore but just can’t get rid of; you will be surprised.

Clueless is one of my favorite movies, and when I put these two pieces together this morning all I could think of was Cher from clueless (yet still not nearly as cute… She’s hard competition (; ) I haven’t worn either of these tops in forever, and went into my closet looking to wear something older for a change. The white blouse is still available from Michael Kors (I saw it on sale in Macy’s the other day!!).

I hope you like it!

Holiday Outfit Inspiration

Hey loves!

I’ve been working to write a post of some gorgeous pieces that are great to wear for the holidays. While I was looking through my 115 online stores on my Delicious page (it’s a website where you can make a profile and keep a list of websites. I use it to keep all of the cool stores I find in one place. You can make a page and even check out mine at Delicious.com). After finding a few things, I landed on my next link to the store, Chic Wish. I totally forgot about this store so when I skimmed across their pieces I fell in absolute LOVE (seriously. I was peeing myself and so was my close-to-empty bank account).

So for this Holiday outfit inspiration, I chose more than a few items from Chic Wish for you to fall in love with too.

UGG-spiration

Hey guys!

So, winter/cold weather is quickly arriving and that gets me excited particularly for gorgeous boots and scarves!! But there always comes a fashion dilemma – UGGs. They have been shunned in the fashion world, yet are still a must-have (in my books). Well, sorry fashion gurus, but UGGs are amazing in the winter – super warm and unbelievably comfortable.

Now yes – they’re not upperclass fashion world, but they’re a great go-to and my first choice for some simple yet chic, quick, street style. Believe it or not, even designers like Michael Kors, Coach, River Island, Stella McCartney, make their own ugg-type boots, but not even the top designers can compare.

There are even tons of celebrities rocking UGGs on the streets!

Blake Lively – Kim Kardashian – Hillary Duff – Miley Cyrus – Mila Kunis – Jennifer Aniston – Penelope Cruz – Elle Macpherson -Gwen Stefani – Megan Fox – Vanessa Hudgens

AND so many more!!

Even the iconic Sarah Jessica Parker wears them about, as well as Leighton Meester and her fashion obsessed character Blair Waldorff who wears them on screen!
