It’s safe to say that next Spring is very… very, far away. But in the world of fashion – we are already preparing! Per usual, warmer weather brings out flawless whites, lace, and vibrant reds. The ongoing trend here is just that, and a classic, mature, (covered) look. Less crop tops and more elegance – it wouldn’t be a new season of runway without a total change in trend! I know you’re probably (definitely) not thinking this far ahead, but, we must stay up to date with the world of high fashion! Who says you really can’t wear white after labor day?

This week is more of a mood board than a style inspiration piece, but our moods typically reflect our style now, don’t they? Really starting to feel that hot, sweaty, lazy summer heat. I’m really into artsy pieces and feeling all sorts of vibes lately, and finding inspiration from simple things rather than others style. Hope you like it xx
There’s absolutely no way to put this to you lightly. There’s no elegant way to introduce this topic and reel you in with some intriguing debate on the flipflop ordeal.
The answer is YES. FLIP-FLOPS ARE FASHION SUICIDE. Don’t even get me started on wedged flip-flops, or wearing any type of flip-flop to an event…
Not only are flip flops ridiculously ugly, they are known to carry large amounts of bacteria. The only thing flip flops have ever been good for are getting pedicures. Seriously – Senior Style Editor of InStyle , Ali Pew, even says so.
For all you everyday goers who don’t really care about the fashion world and live for an easy, not too interested style, then you do you. Flip Flops are completely normal.
For my style loving Fashionistas, well, for anyone interested in even a little bit of style, all I have to say is don’t you dare. You’re no fashionista to me *hair flip*.
Now, if you can’t differentiate what I mean by flip-flops, I’m referring to the shoes with the ‘thong’ in them. Sandals, or ‘slides’ are a completely different alternative for the summer shoe. So if you’re ready to drop those flippies to the shoe devil, then check out some of these amazing summer sandals.
With Memorial Day just passed, Summer is here and there’s no other way to spend it than in style. With the common trends of off the shoulder tops, ruffles, and simple, girly vibes, the beauty trends are following that same memo as well. With inspiration from Spring/Summer Runway looks, like DVF, Vivienne Tam, Tory Burch, Edun and so many more, this summers looks are filled with relaxed glamour. Messy buns, plain nails, simple ‘natural’ makeup and bright eyes, this is all you need to know to rule this summer.
The Messy Bun, and what a blessing that is! No more hours on your hair – look stylish in a messy, trendy way. (Image via Edun runway)
Faux Freckles – I told you gals, this summer is all about au-natural! If you got ’em, flaunt ’em. If not, you can buy them! Get yours at freckyourself.com (Image via Emanuel Ungaro runway)
Braids – And lots of them. Thick front braids, scattered tiny braids throughout your down-do, ponytail braids, you name it, you braid it. This style looks great with the bare face and faux freckle trend. Your inner little girl is definitely coming out! (Image via Herve Leger runway)
Bright, Colorful eyes – Yellows, blues, pinks, oranges – it’s all necessary for your summer excursions. It’s never a dull brunch when you show up with your eyes glowing (; (Image via DVF runway)
Dark lips, Bare face – Classic red is a must this summer. Simple, clean glam. (Image via Jason Wu runway)
Wet Hair – This look is a hard one to achieve; aka lots of gel and hairspray. Not that i’m the biggest fan, this can only look tres chic. This would have to be the most stylish look of your summer! Don’t forget the natural looking, bronzed highlight with this. Surfer chic is the main goal here. (Image via DSquared2 runway)
Bold liner, Flirty Wings – Can you say 1960’s!? LOVING this look. Whether it’s a thick, grungy bottom liner or some flirty top liner flare, rock a sun dress and bring out your inner Audrey Hepburn. (Image via Moschino runway)
Summer is coming to an end here in the US, so I thought I would reminisce on some of my favourite most inspiring summer paradise pictures I’ve came across…. xo

Dress: Mono B (register & check out their pieces!)
I found this gorgeous dress in a little boutique in downtown Bristol, RI. It’s so incredibly stunning in the simplest way! It’s very thin and breezy, and makes me feel oh-so-glam (; It has a very tiny slight lift in the front and drape in the back so it’s never a bother when walking around. It’s up there with my top 3 favourite pieces this summer! And I found it on sale! (my mom bought it for me, thanks mom :P) I’m not the biggest fan of maxi dresses but this one is killer! I paired it with this gorgeous gold statement necklace that I got last winter in another Boutique in Bristol called Jackies Loft. Gold is a great color with this dress! When I tried it on in the store I was wearing a gold body chain underneath and it looked stunning!
Swimsuit: Modern Amusement @ PacSun (in store only)
One pieces are so underrated, and when you come across suits as amazing as this one it’s hard to understand why. Luckily, this summer they’ve been on the rise! I can across this one at PacSun. It was one of those buys that no matter my budget it was a must have! One pieces can be sexy too! Especially when they’re as cute as this!
(ps. sorry for the intensely low quality photos. I forgot my camera for the summer and my little sister has been my mini photographer with my iPhone! 😛 )
Everything about this dress makes me feel like an angel. So crazy, but I feel so simplistically beautiful when I’m wearing it and can’t say I’ve felt that way about many things. It’s quite see through, so I wear it as a bathing suit cover up – or more like I wear a bathing suit underneath just so I can wear the dress 😛 I’m all about shift dresses this summer and this white looks amazing with a tan! (And was only $10!!!) Marshalls always has some amazing finds! Xo, A
Today was a day spent relaxing, taking the dog for a walk and walking through town with my little siblings; which perfectly explains this super casual, comfortable outfit. I’ve wanted a crochet tank top for awhile now and came across this one in Hollister. This style tank is great to dress up or down, to throw on over your swimsuit or to tuck half into a jean 70s button down style skirt (American Apparel has a cute one here). It’s one of my favourite go-to pieces in my summer wardrobe!
