The Mersey Grunge

Jacket: Vintage | Shirt: Emma & Sam | Boots: H&M | Bag: Michael Kors [similar]

I will admit – I over wear this jacket. You could say our bond is like that of a squirrel with nuts in winter  – unbreakable (I have no idea where that analogy came from). This was my grandfathers jacket from back in the 50s when he served in the army. Pretty neat, right? Most people are pretty surprised by that. I’ve managed to make it into a vintage fashion statement shocker and match it with just about everything. The rest was history!

p.s. – the first day I wore these tights I tore a hole in them (typical), and so instead of throwing them away, I tore more! Now I have a sick nasty pair of badass punk tights.

Shades of Red…

Plaid and the changing of leaves is the absolute best part of Autumn. This outfit is a great combo for mildly warm days. I took a basic summer dress and layered one of my favourite button down shirts underneath! I love the school girl look of it all and had no problem accenting that with the current sock-and-heel trend. Reds and oranges are perfect for this time of year as well! I highly suggest taking advantage of any adorable autumnal colored finds you can get your hands on!

DC Fashion Event Recap…

(TOP: Missguided, SKIRT: Zara, SHOES: Michael kors)
I went to a DC Fashion week networking event and fashion show this past Thursday and had so much fun! My friend and I spent the day in DC before the event and took in the gorgeous waterfront view and couldn’t resist stopping at Georgetown Cupcakes (of course :P)

The night consisted of a restaurant/bar absolutely packed to the edges with other photographers, models, bloggers, etc. all from the area. Although it was hard to get a chance to socialize (everyone was way too focused on the runway in the middle of the room) we had so much fun! i’d have to say the best part of it all way seeing what the other guests around me chose to wear. Granted, the fashion show was great to see as it was aspiring college designers in school, I was crazy interested in the personal style of fashionistas around me. Having your own taste is the best part of being stylish! Everyone can bring something different to the table!

Jean Jacket: J.Crew

Top: Michael Kors 2013

Jeans: J.Crew (on sale!)

Heels: I.N.C (Macy’s)

Bracelet: River Island (…similar here…)

White Jeans and Jean Jackets are always a must-have for spring. I’ve never had a pair of jeans fit me as perfectly as these. Just like all black – all white is an easy, stylish go-to outfit plan. I just love the little shoulder zippers on this Michael Kors shirt, and the change in fabric from front to back. Its so soft, comfy, and has such a chic look.

Thanks for reading xo,

White Blouse – Michael Kors, Grey Sweater – Forever 21, Shoes – Big Buddah, Coat –Dana Buchman

Clueless is one of my favorite movies, and when I put these two pieces together this morning all I could think of was Cher from clueless (yet still not nearly as cute… She’s hard competition (; ) I haven’t worn either of these tops in forever, and went into my closet looking to wear something older for a change. The white blouse is still available from Michael Kors (I saw it on sale in Macy’s the other day!!).

I hope you like it!

Hey guys!!

Sorry for the totally awk camera selfies lately — I’ve been WAY too busy working to take some time to blog and unfortunately haven’t had the time figure out someone to take pictures :/ Currently trying to sort out a good time schedule to manage both 🙂

Anyways, here is an absolutely adorable skirt I got from Francesca’s paired with this simple sleeveless crop top I bought at Forever 21 . The heels are Michael Kors. Sorry for the sloppy post :/ This was thrown together in minutes after a long day at work. Regardless of my busy schedule, I still hope you enjoy the outfit 🙂
