Five Etsy Finds of the Week

Ever since I’ve started selling chokers on Etsy I’ve came across a whole new world of merchandise – a type that I admired more than any other. Knowing the effort, time and money spent making my chokers, I understand and respect the dedication that others take to create their unique products on Etsy. Therefore, I’ve decided I’d start a weekly blog post featuring 5 new shops I come across that I admire, and some of my favorite pieces from them

  1. Aquarian Thoughts

This is by far my favorite Etsy shop at the moment. I’m not the biggest jewelry person, as I tend to lose it all, but I do find jewelry so beautiful (as expected). What I love most about this particular jewelry shop is the delicacy of it all. It’s simply stunning – and I mean simply literally. It speaks for itself…

2. Thread Thugs

This shop is trendy and unique! Many products are based off of pieces found at LF stores – a clothing store only found in big cities like LA and NY and can’t be bought online. Therefore, it most likely has exactly what you’re looking for but can’t find anywhere else. It’s edgy and chic, affordable and irreplaceable.

3.  Valdenize

This shop is a bit pricey, but makes dresses so you’re paying for what you’re getting. What I love about this shop in particular is the 50s inspired dresses. I have a strong obsession with the 50s era, and I mean everything to do with the decade even beyond the adorable flare skirts and gingham prints. I find it rather difficult to find good 50s inspired pieces, so I instantly fell in love with Valdenize.

4. LoisLondonNYC

These beautiful, beautiful, beautiful gowns are fit for a goddess. I will say no more.

5. LanoyeeSilver

This bohemian style shop sells everything from jewelry to clothing. I have always been on the edge about bohemian style clothing – sometimes I feel like it’s a bit too much, but the great thing about this shop is the variety. Not all pieces are overly bohemian styled, yet there are some pieces that are. It’s perfect for all who are interested in the style!

Adore Me Lingerie…

Being such a tremendous lover of style has its pros and cons, one of those being feeling absolutely horrendous about having a unstylish slob like day wearing sweats on the couch, as I currently am writing this post 😛 but there’s one thing I do know for sure and it’s how to be chic and feel sexy, and it’s by incorporating lingerie into my every day style. I know… that sounds a little crazy, right?  But yes, I’m serious… Here’s a look of at an outfit lay from my closet, incorporating this gorgeous corset….

As you can see, the white lace up Emma & Sam shirt travels down pretty far, and what better piece to wear under it than this nude & floral bra? I wear it under white tees and other see-through pieces I have. It’s stunning, chic, and makes me feel so incredibly sexy! And you should feel sexy every day too!See more ways to style lingerie into your everyday wardrobe on Adore Me’s Instagram, and find some amazing lingerie pieces you can buy over there as well!

All Tied Up…

Top: Emma & Sam (sold out… similar here)

Bottoms: Tommy Hilfiger (similar here)

Sneakers: Topshop (similar here)

Heels: Aldo (last season)

I’m so much in love with this Emma & Sam shirt, that I bought two in different colors! It was reduced tremendous amounts and was selling out like crazy! I’ve had my eye on it for months and months, so luckily I was able to get it before it was gone. I figured I would post it with the two different types of shoes; going comfortably casual with sneakers and a bit more glam with the heels. The choker I made myself by cutting up an old black tee, and the Tommy jeans I also ripped myself, so instead I listed you an amazing similar looking pair from Missguided that I adore. Ciao!

After a visit to LF Stores in NYC last spring I fell in love with these boho chic boyfriend jeans and needed them in my closet. They are a fun, bold statement piece which is definitely a necessity in any wardrobe! Dramatic statement pieces always create breathe taking street style and easily build your empire as a fashionista.

Summer Daisies and Stripes

I posted an ‘Outfit of the Day’ post not too long ago wearing these same daisy shorts from LF Clothing with a different white crop top.
The black and white striped crop top is from Banana Republic. It was a handy-down from my mom from when cropped tops were in-style in the 90’s.
I wear this top with so many different shorts and wear these shorts with other different crop tops all the time! They’re two of my favorite pieces I have in my wardrobe and can be worn for any casual summer day 🙂

Outfit of the Day: May 2014

This is my first “outfit of the day” post!

Every so often (hopefully at some point every day) I’ll be posting a picture of a great outfit either I, or someone in the community is wearing and where you can find their pieces!

Today’s post:

(ps. Sorry for the bad iPhone 4 quality… Upgrading soon! My 4 year old sister took this picture for me in my families home in RI :))

This is an every day spring outfit with an edge! It took some personal pep talk to buy them, and many comments from my little sister calling them the “clown pants” but I rocked them today and got many compliments! I wore them with a set of low too converses and a short cropped white lace halter top with a bandeau underneath. When I got a bit cold I wore a black button up cardigan (unbuttoned of course) and let it hang off one shoulder a bit to create a relaxed, grunge look.

I got both the top and pants from LF clothing store in SoHo NYC this past weekend.
