Shades of Red…

Dress: Brandy Melville

Plaid and the changing of leaves is the absolute best part of Autumn. This outfit is a great combo for mildly warm days. I took a basic summer dress and layered one of my favourite button down shirts underneath! I love the school girl look of it all and had no problem accenting that with the current sock-and-heel trend. Reds and oranges are perfect for this time of year as well! I highly suggest taking advantage of any adorable autumnal colored finds you can get your hands on!

I’ve never been too entirely into in the world of Mens Fashion, but having five men in my family, it is almost inevitable. Being a lover of Style in general, regardless of the current trends, shopping for my brother is an exciting moment for me (even tho sometimes he thinks I’m a bit ridiculous with the skinny leg sweatpants and turtleneck sweaters 😛 ) he has learned some good style for a 16 year old. So for all the men interested in fashion out there… here’s some inspiration from my amazing little model of a brother. Enjoy.

This comfy and casual outfit is a must for me! It’s hard to constantly shop and add new items to my wardrobe, so I constantly try to make the best of what I have and create new looks with the some of the same pieces. The more you experiment with the clothes you have the more different looks you can have! Even try and incorporate some old clothes that you don’t really wear anymore but just can’t get rid of; you will be surprised.

Happy Veteran’s Day! I took the initiative on my day off to post about this stunning dress! Still am not sure where I’m going to wear it, but it still looks amazing in my closet (; I call it my ‘Marilyn Dress’ because it reminds me of a mod version of her famous white dress!

From Bad to Fab :)

So I have quite a funny story for you —

At the end of last winter, I bought an on sale, gorgeous oversized (I bought a medium so it purposely would be too big) sweater from J.Crew. I had only worn it a few times, when having left it on the wash, someone else put it in the dryer for me and it shrunk 😦 It was at such an awkward size, it looked like an 8 year olds sweater! I saved it anyway, in hopes I could give it a stretch or give it away to a little kid. When pulling out my winter clothes yesterday, I threw it in the wash with a pile of other clothes, and being forgetful Alex, I threw it in the dryer AGAIN. Now, It’s SO small, I thought I could probably pull it off as a crop top!

So therefore, with a few fixes, a sad and wasteful (of money that is) situation turned out not so bad!
