DC Alleys…

Hat | Scarf | Black Fringe Top (N/A… Topshop) | White Top | Jacket (N/A… Zara) | Jeans | Booties | Bag

I decided this winter that every winter I would invest in a new coat. A nice jacket is a staple in the winter, but is also your entire look when out and about. It covers all the glorious layering and precision of a perfectly organized outfit. This year I choose to go with something grey, as it matches everything and I currently have way too much black in my winter wear. It automatically makes my winter street style look chic. This oversized HM scarf can be difficult at times. It’s SO BIG that it overtakes everything. It isn’t the blanket type, which makes it un-foldable, but I often use it as a blanket when it’s very cold, and with the right technique it can be wrapped! I’ve been all about layering lately – pulling bits and pieces of old clothing and mixing them in with the new, layering crop tops over blouses. Experimentation is endless!

Dress: Xehar | Tights: Berkshire | Shoes: Aldo

I’ve never been a big fan of maxi dresses – until this Xehar dress came into my life. I recently partnered with Xehar to promote their brand without even one look at their clothing for one specific reason – it’s all about promoting #AConfidentYou. Never have I felt that a brand was so relevant to what a woman should be and what a girl should aspire to be, and that’s confident, no matter your shape or size. Finding the perfect fit for our individual, unique body types are important and critical to being confident. We shouldn’t all feel the pressure to be the same size to fit in the same clothes. Adding your own personal flare to outfits to express who you are inside and owning your own appearance is what style is all about; not what’s trending or what body type you have. None of us are perfect, not inside and not out. Life is a journey and it’s all about the learning process and staying true to the person we become on the inside, and wearing cute polka-dotted tights with as many outfits as we can 🙂

I love the whole concept of wearing a sweater over a dress! It gives you a cozy, effortlessly chic look and is so unique! This sweater is a bit short on me, so it was perfect to wear over this dress, which has a waist that flares around the tummy area. This could go the same for a skirt and sweater combo. It’s great for sunny, yet chilly Autumn days for a meeting over some coffee or a lunch date. Try this trick at home!

Pink DCFW…

Dress: Loft

Shoes: Aldo

My lovely friend Tai and I went to a DC Fashion Week show and she wore this adorable dress! It looked so amazing on her, so I thought I would share it with you all! And it was such a bargain! Light and flowy, it’s great for the hot autumn days we’re still having here in DC. We had so much fun walking the streets of Georgetown for the afternoon and then going to the show at night. This truly is the perfect transitional day to night dress.

This outfit was such a steal! It’s so simple yet so chic and was crazy affordable. I love everything Zara and am so excited for Autumn. The 70s chic trend is in and this leather mustard color skirt is perfect with a turtleneck for the chilly months.

Boyfriends Closet…

Spring is actually here and my excitement is just plain old ridiculous. I can’t wait for summer – so much that I’ve already switched all my clothes from my closet to my spring/summer ones (even though it’s supposed to snow this saturday *tears*). I’m so ready to throw on some cute crops and pull out my shorts… but outfits like this are as close as it gets for now. I thought I literally looked as though I could’ve stepped out of my boyfriend’s closet in this outfit – boyfriend jeans, relaxed button down. So chic, comfy, and casual.

Hey lovelies,

I finally decided to do some exploring for my blog pics haha 🙂 I got my friend Connor to come along and take pictures for me after I did some shopping this weekend. No matter where or what pieces they are, wearing all black together always creates a stylish outfit.

This adorable top I bought at Forever 21! I thought it was an awesome tee that could be dressed up or down and is very chic! It says “New York Paris London 1°N Los Angeles Label” . I tied it on a little side knot to fit nicely with the high-waisted skirt.

I had seen a skirt a few weeks back that was really similar to this one and fell in absolute LOVE with it! I couldn’t find it again so I got this one in exchange from Forever 21. The zipper goes all the way down the skirt and angles sideways a bit, and has a strip of leather next to it. It isn’t supposed to be a tight fit – it has a nice little flair to it that I thought was just lovely.

The shoes are from Aldo. I’m really into a pointed toe right now, as is the fashion world and just couldn’t resist these beauts!

The sunglasses were also from Forever 21 — a week or so back I left my RayBans at a friend’s house and was in quick need of a cheap pair and found these. They can dress up every outfit with a bit of sass.

You can’t see my jewelry much, but I am wearing two gold necklaces paired together, one’s shorter than the other and is a small circle and the other one, the longer one, is a little Scottie puppy. Both are from Francesca’s. I’m wearing two rings, one’s a plain, thick gold one and the other is an extremely thin, braided ring. I’m also wearing a black leather braided bracelet with thick gold squares looped around it from Forever 21.

Thanks for viewing 🙂
