This weeks inspo’ is all about those oh-so-glam, oh-so-sexy, summer vibes.

“I can’t agree, it’s too much… I would never.”
“Anything but that… Don’t do that.”
I recently received this beautiful choker from Ettika, and was extremely delighted to hear the news that it is now a product for Revolve! (yaaaaaay, Ettika!!) The company fell as much in love with the piece as I did, and therefore it’s now available at Revolve.com.
There’s nothing I can say I dislike about this piece. I was skeptical if I would like the tassel part and really be able to wear it with anything at first, for I felt it was very western looking, but with this gorgeous mustard H&M blouse (similar here) and a pair of jean shorts, it looked anything but western! It was festival, boho chic and looked so casual on my dinner date. I‘ve realized that regardless of my skepticism, this is a great piece for many different outfits! For instance, a denim on denim ensemble or a black dress with some gladiators, it’s can be rocked on more occasions than I imagined! A good piece of jewelry really changes the entire look of an outfit; I’ve learned this through my experience with Ettika altogether thus far.
Now, this is me being extremely picky, but after all this is a review and I’m being as honest as possible. The only slight disadvantage with some of Ettika‘s chokers is how hard they are to put on. The chain to hook into has very tiny loops and then bigger loops throughout, so you can clip into the bigger loops. But, it just so happens that no bigger loop fits the size of my neck. So I’ve had to find a way to fit the clip through a small hole, after much exhaustion. But, if I do clip it on the closest loop to fitting, it does rest lower on my neck but still has the choker look, as well as looks good.
Regardless, Ettika continues to amaze me.
This nomination made me happy, and if that doesn’t say it all about what this is then I’m not sure what does! Thanks so much to Strictly Lighthearted, for nominating me! Okay, so here’s the low-down…

Five Bloggers I Nominate
This week is more of a mood board than a style inspiration piece, but our moods typically reflect our style now, don’t they? Really starting to feel that hot, sweaty, lazy summer heat. I’m really into artsy pieces and feeling all sorts of vibes lately, and finding inspiration from simple things rather than others style. Hope you like it xx
There’s absolutely no way to put this to you lightly. There’s no elegant way to introduce this topic and reel you in with some intriguing debate on the flipflop ordeal.
The answer is YES. FLIP-FLOPS ARE FASHION SUICIDE. Don’t even get me started on wedged flip-flops, or wearing any type of flip-flop to an event…
Not only are flip flops ridiculously ugly, they are known to carry large amounts of bacteria. The only thing flip flops have ever been good for are getting pedicures. Seriously – Senior Style Editor of InStyle , Ali Pew, even says so.
For all you everyday goers who don’t really care about the fashion world and live for an easy, not too interested style, then you do you. Flip Flops are completely normal.
For my style loving Fashionistas, well, for anyone interested in even a little bit of style, all I have to say is don’t you dare. You’re no fashionista to me *hair flip*.
Now, if you can’t differentiate what I mean by flip-flops, I’m referring to the shoes with the ‘thong’ in them. Sandals, or ‘slides’ are a completely different alternative for the summer shoe. So if you’re ready to drop those flippies to the shoe devil, then check out some of these amazing summer sandals.
OK, so this might not be a beginning of the week Sultry Sunday, or Monday for that matter, but what’s better than some style Inspiration at any time of the week? I’ve been quite busy working on some new collabs, and even starting something very exciting! (can’t wait to share with you all!) Better late than never, here’s some inspo’ for your week.

With Memorial Day just passed, Summer is here and there’s no other way to spend it than in style. With the common trends of off the shoulder tops, ruffles, and simple, girly vibes, the beauty trends are following that same memo as well. With inspiration from Spring/Summer Runway looks, like DVF, Vivienne Tam, Tory Burch, Edun and so many more, this summers looks are filled with relaxed glamour. Messy buns, plain nails, simple ‘natural’ makeup and bright eyes, this is all you need to know to rule this summer.
The Messy Bun, and what a blessing that is! No more hours on your hair – look stylish in a messy, trendy way. (Image via Edun runway)
Faux Freckles – I told you gals, this summer is all about au-natural! If you got ’em, flaunt ’em. If not, you can buy them! Get yours at freckyourself.com (Image via Emanuel Ungaro runway)
Braids – And lots of them. Thick front braids, scattered tiny braids throughout your down-do, ponytail braids, you name it, you braid it. This style looks great with the bare face and faux freckle trend. Your inner little girl is definitely coming out! (Image via Herve Leger runway)
Bright, Colorful eyes – Yellows, blues, pinks, oranges – it’s all necessary for your summer excursions. It’s never a dull brunch when you show up with your eyes glowing (; (Image via DVF runway)
Dark lips, Bare face – Classic red is a must this summer. Simple, clean glam. (Image via Jason Wu runway)
Wet Hair – This look is a hard one to achieve; aka lots of gel and hairspray. Not that i’m the biggest fan, this can only look tres chic. This would have to be the most stylish look of your summer! Don’t forget the natural looking, bronzed highlight with this. Surfer chic is the main goal here. (Image via DSquared2 runway)
Bold liner, Flirty Wings – Can you say 1960’s!? LOVING this look. Whether it’s a thick, grungy bottom liner or some flirty top liner flare, rock a sun dress and bring out your inner Audrey Hepburn. (Image via Moschino runway)
With all the celebrities, insta-famous fashion bloggers and beauty gurus, I find myself feeling pretty down after a long scroll through social media. ‘How can she look that good, all the time!?’ ‘Is that even real!? Ugh, clearly it’s real it’s on Insta!!’ Which is exactly the opposite of the truth, but through all the filters and selfie poses, Instagram makes the unreal more than real. I always find it most interesting to look through the “Explore” section, as a lot of what appears there is catered to the type of Instagram’s you follow and those in relation to the people you follow, and was passing my boredom away with a look-through of mine, which of course contained make-up tutorials, models, and fitness junkies. But to my surprise and excitement, I landed upon the ridiculously funny and sarcastic account of Celeste Barber, an actor who took to Instagram to mock celebrities and their ridiculous lifestyles and photos. Hysterical captions and crazy faces, Celeste has earned herself a large following of over 800,000 users. Automatically I had to follow her and had to write this post to share with all of you; if anyone even for a second is made to feel self conscious and out down by any celebrity of insta-figure, you need to be following Celeste. In fact, regardless of your care for celebrities, or your feed, for a laugh and some realism, you need to be following her.
“Don’t you hate it when your doing your nails in and you get a CRAMP!?!?”
“Setting up a @gofundme account to buy @chrissyteigen a bed. Pushing two chairs together to lie down is BULLSHIT.”
“Not tonight babe, I’m tired.”
“I seem to have lost my clothes. Again.”
Not only does she mock celebrities ridiculous pictures in unrealistic outfits and poses and relates them to your real life daily human being, but she also reveals the flaws in the outlook of our current culture, calling out the facts on pictures like both of Kourtney and Kim Kardashian’s revealing posts:
“This is a photo I’m recreating of @kourtneykardash. I’m pretty sure we are promoting talent, strength, and women’s empowerment. Not just sex, as I originally thought.”
“New thought for the day.”
This photo-shoot of couple Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik and their falsified, highly admired relationship:
“Real love is perfect, flawless, acrobatic, stylised, timed and photogenic.”
And the unrealistic idea that this picture of Kim and Kanye is at all normal, because let’s be honest, it isn’t and all because they are the celebrities that they are does not make it at all class[y].
Lastly, my favorite, this hysterical caption about what all of us really go through during flights…
“Thank you @virginaustralia for sitting me in between 2 men who were 6 weeks into their ‘depderant is for losers’ regime. And a big #shoutout to #jetsmart for f*cking NOTHING.”
Overall her sarcastic wit and realism sheds light on these not-so-realistic celebrity lifestyles and lets us all remember that we are all human and it’s okay.
