Sorry for the totally awk camera selfies lately — I’ve been WAY too busy working to take some time to blog and unfortunately haven’t had the time figure out someone to take pictures Currently trying to sort out a good time schedule to manage both 🙂
Anyways, here is an absolutely adorable skirt I got from Francesca’s paired with this simple sleeveless crop top I bought at Forever 21 . The heels are Michael Kors. Sorry for the sloppy post This was thrown together in minutes after a long day at work. Regardless of my busy schedule, I still hope you enjoy the outfit 🙂
So a few posts ago, in “Fab Finds That Won’t Break Your Bank” I showed you all this lovely fur vest I found at H&M. I wore it for the first time this past week and never felt so casually glam (;
My jeans are a dark blue color (if the picture isn’t clear to tell) and I’m wearing a pair of brown, high boots from Miz Mooz Mine you can’t see in the picture, but are unfortunately are from a Miz Mooz past collection. I found a picture of the black pair Here , where they’re selling similar looking boots for really great prices! They were also worn on Pretty Little Liars!
Sorry I haven’t posted – I’ve been working non-stop! (Literally lol)
Awhile ago I saw this post of a quote on Instagram (via LoveofLabels ) saying, “Dress like you’re already famous”, and I loved it! Then, I got to thinking… I admire all of the celebrities and their streetstyle – casual heels and jeans; crop tops and low rise jeans; skin tight plain/casual skirts and tops… But is this really an acceptable societal normal for the average person? (not that any of you are average, I mean in the way that we aren’t celebrities under the spotlight with high fashion expectations)
To the mall and lunch with a girl friend, is a pair of heels and jeans or a spandex tight skirt, normal?
I guess as an adult, like my mom per say, who is 40 and a working woman and mother of 5, wearing heels with everything on a daily basis is normal. But as myself, the 20 year old college student who aspires to dress the best, is it really an accepted norm?
For instance, Kendall and Kylie Jenner who are even still teenagers, go out in their heels and skirts, crop tops, and majority of their skin showing, but yet still in the most classy fashionable way. They look normal and casual chic. But I can’t get past the fact that as an average shaped, sized, human not walking on the streets of LA or NYC, I don’t truly believe that this is an normal acceptance in society.
Do you think one can dress as a celeb on an average day and pull it off as an acceptable, classy, casual look?
